ActionPoint processes audio data for the purpose of real-time transcription and translation. The audio data is sent to our secure servers located within the EU for EU users. The audio data is processed as follows:

Real-Time Transcription/Translation: Audio data is not stored unless the user specifically chooses to save it during real-time sessions.
Non-Real-Time (Offline) Transcription: Audio data is stored automatically for transcription purposes, but users can delete the session at any time, permanently removing all associated data (audio, transcription, summary, etc.).

3. Data Storage and Security

If the user opts to store audio data, it is saved in a secure cloud location. For paid accounts, additional data encryption options are available to enhance security. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections to ensure the security of data in transit.

4. System Sound Capture for Non-Mobile Devices

On non-mobile devices (e.g., Mac, Windows, Linux), ActionPoint offers the option to capture system sound for online meetings and calls. This is achieved through the browser’s Screen Sharing with Audio feature. Important points regarding this feature include:

Audio-Only Capture: Although screen sharing is used, the video stream is discarded, and only the audio is processed. The captured audio follows the same privacy policy as user microphone audio.
User Choice: System sound capture is an optional feature and can be enabled or disabled by the user.

5. Transcription and Data Storage

Real-Time Sessions: Transcriptions and translations are only stored if the user explicitly chooses to save them.
Non-Real-Time Sessions: Transcriptions are saved automatically, but users have the option to delete the session. Deletion permanently removes all data (audio, transcription, summary, etc.) from our servers.

6. Data Transmission

All data transmitted to and from our servers is encrypted using HTTPS to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of your information.

7. User Control

Users have complete control over their data:

Users can choose whether or not to save audio data during real-time transcription/translation.
Users can delete any stored session and its associated data, ensuring that it is permanently removed from our servers.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

ActionPoint retains data only as long as necessary for providing the services or as required by applicable laws. Users can delete their stored sessions at any time, ensuring complete removal of all associated data.
